Topic: Preparing for Work and Workplace Professionalism
On Thursday, June 18, 2026, trainees of the General Office Administration programme at the Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC) had the privilege of participating in an insightful guest lecture on “Preparing for Work and Workplace Professionalism.”
The session was expertly facilitated by Mr. Clairmonte Frank of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), who shared valuable knowledge and practical advice on the attitudes, behaviours, and professional standards expected in today’s workplace.
Trainees gained a deeper understanding of:
• Workplace professionalism and ethics
• Effective communication in the workplace
• Appropriate workplace conduct and etiquette
• Employer expectations and work readiness
• Building a positive professional image
