Courses
Training begins in September of each year.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be at least fifteen (15) years 9 months to be eligible to attend full-time courses and eighteen (18) years old to attend the evening courses.
- For all courses, applicants must have either successfully completed the Secondary Competency Certificate Programme (SCCP) or completed Grade 10 at a Secondary School in Guyana or equivalent if out of Guyana.
- Completed application forms must be accompanied with a copy of your birth certificate and two (2) passport sized photographs.

Competency Based Education Training
In a CBET system, the unit of progression is mastery of specific knowledge and skills and is learner or participant centered. Two key terms used in competency-based education and training are:
CBET differs with the traditional educational system, where the unit of progression is time and it is teacher-centered.
CBET is an institutional process that move education form focusing on what academics believe graduates need to know (teacher-focused) to what students need to know and be able to do in varying and complex situations (student and/or workplace focused).
